Freestyle Festival Launch Party

Wednesday night in Shoreditch at Village Underground a load of skaters, BMXers, rock bands, bboys, graffiti artists and a very important freerunner all got together under one roof to kick off the Freestyle Festival.

The mini skate ramp saw Kyle Blake on his BMX, Danny Aldridge inlining and Jak Tonge on his skateboard pulling some killer tricks for the crowd.
Bands This City, The Crave, Starseed and The Telegraphs all gave the crowd a taster of what they will expect to see on the Main Stage at Freestyle Festival. Starseed rocked it, and they had a huge fan base there to support them.
Secret Wars graffiti artists Mr K and Mr Gawky drew some sick artwork in a live performance- demonstrating the battles they will be holding in the Battle Field room at Alexandra Palace after the workshops have taken place on both days.
Firefly was joined by her bboy crew, Flo and Lil’Tim and they pulled some fantastic moves on the lino, and really got the press crowd going, even trying it out!
Sebastien Foucan was there talking to all the press and fans about freerunning and his philosophies on his artform, and then the next day he went further and held a class at Alexandra Palace and truly demonstrated the learning experience he wants to give at the festival.
